Welcome to DANISH™’s advent calendar. Every Friday before Christmas, we open a new window and reveal a little special something for you to enjoy, while waiting for the big day. Sit back, relax and enjoy!

December is here, and at DANISH™ we welcome it with arms wide open! This festive winter month we look at some of the seasonal Danish Christmas designs.

The Oak Men
A small protector of joy and happiness. The little wooden angel is designed and produced by The Oak Men, two Danish cabinetmakers from the outskirts of Aarhus. The two specialise in making cool home accessories that men can relate to and want to put on their shelves. This little holiday angel comes in two versions, oak and smoked oak, both with a brass top.

Kähler
Kähler has a quite impressive line of Christmas products. Looking at the company’s Nobili collection, you’ll find some of the finest tea light holders to decorate your Christmas table. The holders come in different sizes and shapes, so whether you’re into round igloo-like holders, a spikey Christmas tree look or maybe a hanging holder, there’s something for you!

Kay Bojesen
Since 1948, Danish silversmith and designer Kay Bojesen’s much-loved Santa Claus figure has been living the sweet single life. But this year, after almost 70 years as a bachelor, he is in good company with Mrs Santa Clara – 20 centimetres of pure, loveable beech. The two make a beautiful couple and will trim any home in the run-up to Christmas.

Filigrantræ
If you’re allergic to pine needles or simply don’t want all the mess a traditional Christmas tree brings to your home, keep reading. The Filigrantræ (filigree tree) is designed by Danish architect Trine Find. Her minimalistic design approach comes to life in this reusable tree, which is designed to be taken apart and reused year after year. The Filigrantræ is handmade, and designed and produced in Denmark.

Nordstjerne
A hint of everyday glamour. That’s how Nordstjerne designs. This Danish company creates functional designs with a touch of decadence. Their inspiration comes from the Nordic landscapes, which is seen in their Christmas designs. These delicate paper ornaments come in four shapes and several colours and will fit a window ledge or a Christmas tree.
