Anour continues providing the highest level of craftsmanship with a new lamp, which is made from a perfect cylindrical solid brass body with a mouthblown opal glass shade – this allows the user to experience a beautiful shape emitting a soft glow of light.
The new Donya collection from Anour comes in three versions. Whether you’d like a wall lamp, a table lamp or a pendant fixture, for reading or for perfectly lighting your room, the Donya will fit your needs.
“Initially, we developed the Donya series for a hospitality project. The requirements for this project inspired us to think out of the box and come up with features to make the Donya unique. With few modifications, we could alter the use and appearance of the luminaire, both in terms of functionality and aesthetics”, says Arash Nourinejad, founder and architect.
By using a clever magnetic slider, the globe can be turned in any direction and the purposely made hole in the glass globe provides a slightly brighter light beam and allows you to create a custom lighting experience.
Crafted by Artisans
To create the body and the perfect cylindrical shape, a piece of solid brass is cut out and treated to obtain a surface of perfection and the opal glass shade is handmade and mouthblown for every lamp.
“The genius features of our lights are just as important as the manufacturing processes involved. Our care is reflected in every aspect the product and we use new, as well as old, techniques to enable us to achieve the most uncompromising results – these techniques are often only obtained by using artisan craftsmen”, says Arash.
Using artisan craftsmen isn’t a new thing for Anour – their entire product line is based upon the usage of artisan craftsmen, which you can read more about here.
