Arne Jacobsen was very productive as a designer and as an architect. His furniture and other design work has become a part of the Danish design heritage.

When designing the Series 7 Chair, Arne Jacobsen exploited the possibilities of the lamination technique. The chair is ideally suited to fit the human body, and its backrest is comfortable to lean up against as it has a natural “give”.

This year is the 60th anniversary of the Series 7 Chair designed by Arne Jacobsen, and it is still as current today as it was in 1955. We are very proud to have this icon as a part of the exhibition “Re-Framing Danish Design”.

Two designers, Niek Pulles from Heyniek and Sebastian Herkner, will each re-frame Danish design for our joint DANISH™ and Frame Magazine exhibition “Re-Framing Danish Design”. The exhibition will be on display from 28 until 30 May 2015 at The Silo in Copenhagen.

Niek Pulles and Sebastian Herkner can re-frame/re-interpret the Series 7 Chair as they wish, and we are very excited about what the result might be.
