Trends & Traditions 2019 State of Health Theme

The largest meet & greet event in architecture and design in Denmark, hosted by HOLMRIS B8, took place on Thursday 2nd May 2019 – an event that brought together more than 3,000 professional visitors from design, architecture, and the building industry. State of Health was this year’s focus and over 130 exhibitors took part in the event.

What was this year about?

Danish architecture, furniture and interior design is hitting new records around the world, with its inspiration being drawn from solving daily issue.

So, Trends & Traditions 2019 dealt with the latest designs and trends with an emphasis on this year’s theme State of Health. Nowadays, we have a tendency to spend 90% of our time behind closed doors. So how can we bring the outside inside with us and guarantee a healthy lifestyle? And how do digitalisation and technology help us in terms of health?

Revolving around this year’s State of Health theme, the Trends & Traditions 2019 comfy sofa talks addressed the following sub-topics:

  • Nature back to work
  • Value-based technology, please
  • Circular economy
  • The future is co – or is it?

For this year’s event, 26 key speakers from home and abroad spoke on stage or lead the cosy sofa talks. Moreover, over 130 exhibitors were invited to let you know the latest trends and show you new and exciting products. To join them and to get to know everything first hand, a lot of visitors saved the date and signed up to the non-profit Trends & Traditions event for free.

Among the 130 exhibitors, visitors were able to visit brands such as Fredericia, by Lassen, Sibast, Engelbrechts, Fritz Hansen og Lightyears, among many other well-known names.

Outdoor News

Unlike any other Trends & Traditions event, this year outdoor furniture was also exhibited in a big tent outside Lokomotivværkstedet, which had a direct access to from the building. Furthermore, Trends & Traditions provided food and drinks for its visitors – next to the outside tent visitors were able to encounter the Street Food and Beer Garden where they could relax and regain their energy.
