Now in its 56th edition, Salone Internazionale del Mobile – the world’s biggest design and furniture fair – is gearing up yet again to be the focus of international attention. Stroll through our guide to the Danish must-sees in Milan on 4–9 April 2017.
Unveiling novelties alongside its classic furniture pieces, Erik Jørgensen will also present a brand-new collaboration with French designer Patrick Norguet. This collaboration has resulted in an easy chair that will be presented for the first time. In addition to its stand, Erik Jørgensen will also participate in the exhibition ‘Holy Handmade! A Temple of Divine Design from Wallpaper*’. Teaming up with the Norwegian architects from Snøhetta and the Norwegian strategic design practice Everything Elevated, the team’s contribution is named ‘Portal’.

House of Finn Juhl
This year, House of Finn Juhl is revealing pieces that haven’t seen the light of day before and that emphasise the playfulness for which Finn Juhl was famous. Stop by to see these pieces and discover the company’s new visual identity. Bubbles will be served every day at 3:00 p.m., accompanied by casual conversation and stories.

Fredericia presents an eclectic collection of classic and new furniture designs dressed in vibrant fabrics by fashion designer Raf Simons for Kvadrat. A highlight of this celebrated intersection of fashion and furniture design is the Barbry Stool and Table Collection by French designer Aurélien Barbry – a contemporary series crafted in steel.

At this year’s Salone del Mobile, Mater will launch new works by Space Copenhagen, Eva Harlou and PederJessen. Stop by for a glass of wine, a chat with the founder, the designers or the sales representatives and explore their latest designs.

Please welcome by Lassen, which will be visiting Salone del Mobile for the first time. By Lassen will exhibit classic designs from two of Denmark’s greatest architects, Mogens Lassen and Flemming Lassen. If you visit by Lassen’s exhibition in ‘The Danish Living Room’, you will experience beautiful, iconic and timeless designs like the Kubus candleholder.

Bang & Olufsen
High-end television and audio brand Bang & Olufsen also visits Salone del Mobile. The Danish designer Øivind Slaatto, who designed Bang & Olufsen’s one-point music system Beoplay A9, will be at the stand during press sessions.

MINDCRAFT is an exhibition concept showcasing some of Denmark’s most talented craftspeople and designers. The exhibition is organised by the Danish Arts Foundation and the Agency for Culture and Palaces. This year, the exhibition is curated by Danish designer Henrik Vibskov.
