Anour is a Danish design company established in 2007. The name Anour is Farsi and translates as light. With the label, founder and architect Arash Nourinejad realized his vision to create a lamp of uncompromising design, visionary functionality, quality and exquisite materials.

Whilst the company originally was founded as an architectural firm with focus on interior design, its latest development has proven to be the right way to go. Creating innovative lights that merge tradition with the latest LED technology.

The clientele of Anour are firms/persons who want to stand out and make a statement and who appreciates nice quality, bespoken products. First Movers who are daring enough to invest in a new company like Anour.

“I believe that most Danish crafts have been made obsolete in the modern design production, which I think is very sad, as we have a lot to offer in regards to traditional workmanship. I want to preserve these trades, and improve on the life cycle of products. Most designers focus on sustainability based on production techniques or materials, my goal is to make products that last a lifetime.”

Anour does not compete on price; it provides its customers with a product that stands the test of time, a lamp that only becomes more beautiful as time passes. Anour will remain a high-end design company that embodies reinvented Danish design.

Anour’s ‘A_light’ is a handmade lamp in iron, aluminium, brass or copper. While the label stands for craftsmanship and the perseverance of Danish design traditions, every piece is made with a strong focus on sustainability in design, production and technology.

In the final stage of the oxidized copper, the surface turns green verdigris. Our lamps are surface treated during a 2 week period and the result speaks for itself. Not one lamp are alike.

Divar means wall in Farsi, which naturally is the name of Anour's new wall-lamp in Elmwood.
