Ulrik Nordentoft has been a part of the flourishing Danish design scene for almost two decades. He works with product and interior design and has earned international recognition and received various design awards for his work. Since graduating from the Danish Design School in 2000, he has been behind several new design classics from acknowledged Danish design companies. Also, his interior design projects are considered as pioneering within the restaurant and retail businesses.

Design Philosophy

Ulrik’s design philosophy is pragmatic, honest and hands-on with a clean and minimalistic language.  While mindfully balancing aesthetics and functionality he lets the nature and quality of the materials influence the form and usability of the design, generating objects with a clear sense of timelessness.

When working with interior design, Ulrik bases his philosophy on quality in materials and ambiance to provide the right setting and experience for the guests. His ability to create a cozy, laid-back ambiance whether designing the interior for a Michelin-starred restaurant or a busy food court has made him a much sought-after interior designer during the past 10 years.

Partnerships

Ulrik established his own design studio in 1997, but his working process has always been characterised by a search for long-lasting partnerships and cooperation, counting co-designers as well as clients.
